Bhisman refuses to marry Ambai and asks her to meet his guru Parasuram. Ambai goes on a journey to find Parasuram. Parasuram comes to help her. Parasuram denies to talk to her as she has come to justify Bhisman.

Sathyavathi orders Bhisman to bring the princesses of Kasi to Hasthinapuram to marry them to her son. Bhisman comes to the Swayamvara. Ambai argues with Bhisman regarding her love. Bhisman tells Ambai to marry Shalvan and decides to marry other princesses to Vichithiraveeryan. Ambai argues with Bhisma to marry her.

Devaviradhan vows not to get married. Shanthanu grants him a wish that he can be killed only when he desires it. Shanthanu names him Bhisman.
24 years later...
Bhisman saves Sathyavathi's son Vichithiraveeryan. Bhisman punishes Vichithiraveeryan and Sathyavathi protects him.
